Lofilo proposes his philosophic vision of life in artistic terms: human beings that are like pawns moving across a chessboard, which is a metaphor for life, play daily on improving or even worsening the quality of their condition. According to the artist individuals are aware of the limitations of their sphere of action, but they do however have the chance of moving, bumping into and talking to each other, choosing the modes and times for relating to others, in a sequence of cause and effect that is generated by our more or less instinctive or pondered decisions. Again Lofilo indulges his whimsical use of materials, and from the chessboard-painted canvas emerge ghostly knights and ladies that are distinguished by the chromatic effect, sprayed with gold and silver dust, suspended in a dimension of space and time like that of an enchanted world.
